This from Swaziland RPCV Tom Bridgeman (Ekukhanyeni H.S., 1984-1987):
From Humble Rural Roots to National Prominence and Beyond
In light of the 80th UN Assembly in NY, I feel the need to share a point of pride. My teenage Swazi brother, Samson, from my homestead [from training] has grown up to be Dr. Samson Sithole, CEO of eSwatini Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise Ltd, working hard to build Eswatini’s agricultural economy. He was at the UN recently as part of the contingent representing his country. Quite an accomplishment for a kid from the remote village of Dwalile! I credit his Gogo (center) who raised him on the proceeds from her excellent home brew business. My housemate, Jack, might remember young Samson when he joined our school trip to Durban.
I helped out Samson a little financially when he was at university in the 90’s and he’s always considered me a patron. He found me on the internet several years ago. We reconnected and we email occasionally.

Ed. Note: This is absolutely wonderful news, Tom! Thanks for sharing. You may have very well served as an inspiration for your Bhuti Samson.
